Developing Drink S.O.S. and Wine S.O.S.
Bernard Bubman R.ph and Jean-Max Duraffourd
met in Bologna, Italy while attending a health food show in 1989.
Mr. Duraffourd was a pioneer in the making of skin care products
using herbs, vitamins and anti-oxidants while Bernard Bubman was
creating products for Great Earth vitamin stores at the time.
The two met often over the years discussing how they could bring
better health products to the world. Mr. Duraffourd is a lover
of wines and they often met and talked about the benefits of red
wine and spirits for health. This led to a visit in southern France
to a spa called Caudalie,
where they use wine in their treatments. The French have known
the healing benefits of wine for centuries and it is an integral
part of their diet.
Although wine is beneficial to health many people complained
about the side affects of alcohol and wine. Over the years and
through much research they found substances that cut down on the
inflammatory response of the body to these substances. Since wine
making involves different ingredients and processes than spirit
manufacturing, two distinct products were developed to address
their unique challenges.
